Fire giants can be assigned as a slayer task at level 65 combat by various Slayer masters. They are the strongest generic giants for their category, and are mostly known for their rune scimitar drops.
Wildy slayer is unmatched, free supplies (blighted restores/mantas/anglers), almost every task is cannon-able or barrage-able, the new wildy weapons give crazy combat exp/hr, and the ammount of points earned per task allows you to skip very frequently, you can basically pick your tasks once you have a slayer point bank built up.
I got a konar task for fire giants in the catacombs. Spent way too long in the giants cave before I realized I wasn't getting slayer xp. Rip.
You can tell fire giants apart in the Catacombs of Kourend as the level 109 giants wield clubs, while the level 104 giants wield flaming swords.
