Public safety services on the Corvallis and OSU-Cascades campuses include security checks of buildings and responding to fire and medical emergencies. The department also provides Clery Act reporting and emergency management for the university and dispatch services for the Corvallis campus. In case of an emergency: call 911
The Fire/Life Safety program at OSU seeks to protect the safety of people and property across the University. All OSU faculty, staff, and students are exposed to unsafe conditions if fire prevention is not properly managed.

For immediate assistance from police, fire department, or ambulance. The Bias Response Team communicates and meets regularly to respond to bias incidents. The BNC provides low-income students experiencing food, housing insecurity, or financial stress with resources and programs.
The Campus Alert System allows public safety officials to create emergency alerts that contain a recorded voice message, an email message, and a text message and send them to the current database of contact information for all employees and students.
Report status to a floor monitor or building manager. Building Manager /College point of contact. Take clipboard with check-sheet, building map and cell phone/radio and report to the Evacuation Area; Gather accountability status from Floor Monitors; Forward accountability information to the Fire Department Incident Commander.
