All animals adopted from one of our animal care centers are eligible for a free veterinary exam (within seven days of adoption) by any participating member of the Southern California Veterinary Medical Association. A list of participating veterinary locations can be found here:

Lost pets are more likely to be reunited with their owner if they stay in the area they are found. If you find a stray cat or dog, post fliers in the area, and on community apps like Next Door, Ring and Facebook. You can also take the pet to a shelter or veterinary clinic to get it scanned for a microchip.
Animal Care Centers and related services are open seven days a week with the following hours: • Monday – Saturday – 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Services include adoptions, lost and found, licensing your pet, and general pet assistance. • Sundays.
14 Αυγ 2023 · 🐾. LA Animal Services has six shelter locations with a variety of pets available to adopt or foster, ranging from dogs and cats to rabbits, chickens, and turtles. Their locations are open without appointments on Tuesdays through Fridays from 8 am - 5 pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am to 5 pm.
Its six animal care centers serve unincorporated Los Angeles County and 49 contract cities with a combined total population of over 3 million residents. It provides animal control and rescue services in its service areas 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
