10 Ιουλ 2007 · Location: Madison, WI. Posted July 10, 2007. I am new to ice fishing, so far only one fish on the line. I saw the video for the fish elevator and it looks like it could be useful if fish really do come off the hook often coming up the hole. Does this happen pretty often?

27 Νοε 2008 · Fished for a few hours this evening for walleye and pike on a WI River backwater. Golden shiners in 3-4ft of water along a weedline. Had a couple of tip-ups out and jigged with a swedish pimple/fathead combo.
24 Μαρ 2024 · Wisconsin River: The Upper and Lower Dells are a fishing paradise, with northern pike, walleye, bass, panfish, musky, and sturgeon. It’s a year-round season for all game and panfish, but musky and sturgeon are a seasonal catch.

The river itself isn’t all that big and because almost other waters in this area are still locked up under ice, this is one of the few places in Wisconsin where people can launch a boat and shake off the effects of a long winter.
