Bolt on Performance Pod Instructions. 1. Cut an access hole (#1) in the top of each pod. After the pods are installed, a cover (not included) is fastened over each access hole with sealant and screws. Another option is to install an access hatch available from marine supply dealers. They can be either round or rectangular.

The pods should be welded on so that they are tipped up at the back about ½” for optimum performance. The boat may porpoise if they are tipped up more than that.
10 Φεβ 2012 · Beavertail's instructions instruct the end of the pod to be tilted up 0.5" . This boat is not a racer or a big water fishing boat, sticking mainly to a river (20-40yds wide) so top end speed and hard rises on the bow in choppy water are not need.

19 Μαΐ 2014 · They have some angles to them, I was wandering if yall used extra aluminum to fill the gap b/w the pods and the transom and what kinda angle yall did. I've read beavertails instructions just looking for personal experiences here...
19 Μαρ 2008 · Depending on the motor being run, a good gauge is the same as installing TRIM TABS on a boat. Use anything flat/straight (yard stick/2x2/etc) & place it on the bottom of the boat so it sticks past the transom & PAST where you want the pods to end.
