16 Μαρ 2023 · Inspect the guillotine paper cutter and identify the issue with the blade. If it isn’t cutting all the way through, there may be too much pressure on one side of the cutter. If it is extremely dull, then you need to add more pressure to the other side of the cutter.

I have a different brand of guillotine cutter, and have learned that I have to put my hand over the paper guard while cutting. Without that added pressure directly on the paper, the paper will move as it's being cut, resulting in a crooked cut.
28 Σεπ 2005 · I have 2 Fiskars cutters...the big one w/ the rotary blade and interchangeable blades (which I've had for about 7 years and only recently bought a new straight blade for) and the smaller one sold by SU! (which I've had about 8 months). I have not had ANY trouble w/ either in getting a straight cut.
10 Ιουλ 2012 · I have been using a fiskars paper trimmer for a couple of years now. Lately it's been shredding the paper instead of the nice clean cut I've always gotten. I've replaced the blades a couple of times, and it just doesn't cut right. Is it possible that something has happened to that guide wire causing this problem?

After years of owning my trimmer, it started cutting very badly...frayed edges no matter what I did! I contacted Fiskars and they sent me free replacement blades, but those blades cut badly too... both of them!
