If a lien holder/bank has the title, you will need to provide one of the following: Out-of-state registration or renewal notice (can be up to six months after expiration) Verification from the Department of Motor Vehicles. A copy of the out-of-state title.
To title and register your vehicle in Florida, these documents are needed: Original out-of-state title. If you still have an outstanding lien, please visit one of our branches to start the process for your lienholder to mail your title to our office.
Electronic titles or e-titles are motor vehicle, mobile home or vessel titles held in an electronic form by the Department. E-titles prove ownership of a motor vehicle, mobile home or vessel the same way a paper title does.
