Piano exercise #1: Dynamics. The first exercise is a two-handed scale. But instead of playing C scale with both hands and calling it a day, we’re going to go a step further. In the first part of the piano exercise, the right hand is loud while the left hand is quiet. This is very difficult!

As you alternate between these contrasting rhythms, you’ll be training your hands to move independently, a crucial ability for mastering more complex pieces.
Exercise 15 - Left hand coordination using root/fifth/tenth. Slowly add in more melody notes. Add in more thirds or sixths to the right hand part to create different arrangements. Create your own right hand melodies with the following exercise.
