Angel Face. Loads of ruffled lavender blossoms permeate the air with the strong perfume of sweet citrus flowers. A perennial favorite because of the low bushy habit, the nearly continual production of blooms, the unusual color, and the sweet fragrance. Established plants give the most bloom.
Angel Face features clusters of rich, deep-lavender semi-double, ruffled blooms with a ruby blushed edge. Her 3½” flowers are blessed with the most wonderful and intense perfume for a Floribunda. Her rich, dark-green foliage provides a wonderful backdrop for this favorite continual blooming and spreading rose.
Rosa. 'Angel Face'. Rosa 'Angel Face' is a pink floribunda rose cultivar, developed by Herbert Swim & Weeks Rose Growers, and introduced into the United States in 1968.. 'Angel Face' is a cross between floribundas, ('Circus' × 'Lavender Pinocchio') and hybrid tea, 'Sterling Silver'. The rose was named an All-America Rose Selections winner in 2002.
The flowers are exceptionally large—4 inches—for a floribunda, opening from attractive urn-shaped buds and arising in great clusters, beginning in early summer and continuing into mid-fall. The 30 to 35 petals are slightly waved, like a flared skirt, which adds to their depth.
