Grow charming Clematis from seed. Clematis is an enduring perennial vine that produces a velvety star shaped flower in an array of attractive colors and is a perfect companion to a trailing fence line, trellis, arbor or atop a garden patio.

Regardless of gender, the flowers are less than 1" across with four sepals that are white or cream colored. These flowers bloom mid-late summer and last about a month. These flowers are visited by Halictid bees, wasps, and various native flies.
Considering that all of the blooms are lovely, and that leatherflowers as a group are so hard to find for sale as either plants or seeds, I decided to combine the seeds of a half-dozen different species and natural crosses for this listing.
