When applying, please complete the building permit application (yellow form) and include the pre-approved Miami-Dade County fence detail, a site plan, survey, and other supporting documents. For more information, please contact the Permit Records Section at 786-315-2100.

The Building Department enforces codes and regulations established by the State of Florida and Miami-Dade County governing the construction, alteration, and maintenance of buildings and structures within the City of Miami for the protection of residents and property.
Or you can email us at buildingpermits@dadecityfl.com or fax us at 352-521-1498. After submittal, we will review and process your application. Once approved, we will notify you with a Permit number to pay online. Once payment has been made, we will email you your building permit.
This is not an exhaustive list; please contact us to confirm what permits your project will require at 352-523-5050. Be advised our review time is anywhere from 2-6 weeks. We do not offer expedite services and are processed in the order they are received.
