Preface. Army Techniques Publication (ATP) 6-22.1 provides doctrinal guidance for all leaders, military and civilian, responsible for planning, preparing, executing, and assessing counseling actions. Trainers and educators throughout the Army will also use this publication.
Below are examples of initial and monthly Soldier counseling and initial and quarterly NCO counseling. The primary reference is FM 6-22, Leadership, Appendix B, Counseling. Soldiers (E-4 and below) should receive counseling monthly.
