29 Νοε 2008 · As I studied the Monarch-P specs and considered the few samples of its sound available online, I concluded that the Aguilar pickup would not be right for me. Testing pickups in my hoard, with the Monarch-P in mind, I revisited and quickly chose the Klein. (If you’ve read any of my reviews here, you know that I'm a bit of a bass pickup freak.
14 Μαρ 2007 · I bought a Monarch Standard 4 string last December. It's super-easy to play, weighs only 8.5 pounds, and is quite versatile. I even like the sound of the front pickup soloed and I'm not normally a fan of that sound. Mine has dual coils and that allows more tonal options. It cost a small fortune but I can't say I regret it.
13 Ιαν 2008 · So… had some time to kill this morning and went to one of my local Guitar Centers to burn 30 minutes. To my surprise, they had a “new” 2021 Yin-Yang Monarch Standard 5 in stock that I immediately asked to test drive. The associate took it down and I plugged it into a Markbass 2x10 combo. It sounded and played phenomenally!

Fodera is amazing and they make high class instruments, but they're a big company and for them, you're one of hundreds of customers. For a fraction of the price you can have an amazing instrument that was truly built for you.
29 Νοε 2008 · A lovely range of timbres between traditional bass guitar, and twangy Telecaster, and the beginnings of grand piano. Compared to my Monarch-P, this bass goes even further in the direction of uncannily well-defined note envelopes.
