Forbidden Caverns Head underground to cool off this summer – literally. One of Sevierville’s most renowned attractions, Forbidden Caverns , stays a cool 58 degrees year round and is the ideal family stop if you’re headed toward the Great Smoky Mountains.
This Sevier County attraction is about 20 miles east of downtown Sevierville, but it's definitely worth the drive. Dating back to 1967, Forbidden Caverns is actually one of the area's longest-operating tourist sites.
