The red light indicates that the batteries need to be watered. A blinking red light means the battery has had low electrolyte level for ten days or longer. The light also has a re-set mode that allows the user to determine exactly how many days/months the battery has had low electrolyte level.
Watering level monitors dramatically improve battery maintenance by intelligently alerting personnel when a battery needs water — and when it does not. These level indicators allow watering on a labor-saving “as-needed” basis instead of a hit-or-miss schedule.
The flashing green BasicBlinky™ light says, “leave me alone”, and prevents overfilling of batteries with water, which often happens when an operator fills all the batteries at one time - without checking individual batteries for levels.
