The park is located in Old Town Alexandria with fantastic views of the Potomac river. The nearby attractions include Torpedo Factory Art House and nice restaurants. To make an afternoon or evening memorable, spending some time here, specially with kids, is highly recommended. Parking can be a challenge, other options will work better to go there.

November Programs and Activities at Founders Park 2024. The Pool and Park Office will close at 5:00pm on Wednesday, November 27th for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Facilities will reopen at 10:00am on Friday, November 29th.
You can probably call ahead though and make some arrangements but they'll be parking all along the street during an art show, the mariners flea market or a live music show. Otherwise, plenty of parking for boats and trailers.
Stop into the office to see their full class offerings and pick up all the equipment you need to have fun at Founders! The park is also home to a huge amphitheater and host many concerts and festivals throughout the year. With ample parking, the park is free to locals and those staying in Islamorada.
