Just north of King Street and the harbor, Founders Park is a nice place to relax from the hustle and bustle of downtown. A number of benches facing the Potomac for a full view of river life while enjoying conversation over a cup of coffee.

The Alexandria Marina is located on the south-eastern edge of the park and the Potomac River. The dog exercise area is located in the northwest corner at Oronoco and N. Union Streets.
Founders Park is one of several beautifully-kept, green parks near Old Town along the Potomac River. Founders Park is long and has benches along the water and a sand volleyball court.
The Founders Park is located along the Potomac Riverfront next to the Torpedo Factory Art Center and the Oldtown Waterfront and the vibrant area of Oldtown Alexandria. A beautiful open space for all and is good to visit year round in the heart of the city.
