14 Ιαν 2022 · If a particular album doesn't show art when it should you can try removing that album from the device, then add it back again. Failing that it may be necessary to restore the device and reload from scratch.
I use MediaMonkey 5 to edit text & album art instead of iTunes. I am at right around 20,000+ songs (mine is the 160GB model)), and I notice a good chunk don't display the album art on the iPod even when I replace the art completely through MM or through iTunes.

Two possible reasons, it is a software or it is a hardware problem. A reset and reinstall might work if it is a software problem. That said, album art is a small issue if the sound quality and play back functions work well. I suggest you live with it until you cannot.
For everyone else who's struggling with a self-managed iPod and album art not showing up, here's how it works for me. Problem started when using Windows 11, had no troubles with iTunes on Windows 10.. so i tried a few things.
9 Σεπ 2022 · Method 1. Automated Method. 1. Open iTunes. Make sure you have added some music to the library. 2. Click on "Advanced" at the top of the screen. 3. Select "Get Album Artwork" from the pull down menu. An alert message should come up, explaining that songs with missing album artwork will be sent to iTunes.
23 Ιουν 2010 · A month or so ago, after adding an album or two of tracks to the iPod, all of a sudden about 70% of the album artwork is not appearing, when a song is playing. All that is showing is the generic grey square with a musical note in it.
