Shareware. What do you mean, you haven't played Doom, Heretic or Hexen yet? Go and download the shareware versions here, you bastard! This section also contains some free versions for non-DOS platforms, as well as some pre-release versions.
Cheats. Type in these codes one letter at a time during the game to cheat: IDBEHOLD then A gives you the area map. IDBEHOLD then I makes you invisible. IDBEHOLD then L gives you the nightvision goggles. IDBEHOLD then R gives you radiation suit.

The shareware version contains the entire first episode of the game, Knee-Deep in the Dead. NOTE: This game has a native Windows version but it is recommended to use a third-party source port (see the links section below). Cheats. Doom has many cheat codes. To use a cheat code in PC versions of the game, one simply types the code while playing (this includes automap mode). After the last letter of a code has been entered, a message of acknowledgment will appear at the top of the screen.
