When I launch I get the error that I cannot load the mod with the shareware version of Doom. I don't have a copy of the shareware version of Doom and instead have the full IWAD for Ultimate Doom for DOS in my GZDoom folder.
If downloading the shareware version, unzip it using PKUNZIP, run the installer program, and install shareware Doom to your hard drive. If you manage to get the proper sound and video drivers installed in NT 3.5x, you will be able to play Doom using a source port. Otherwise, you will be stuck in VGA mode (16 colors) and have no sound.

First install your Doom game normally to a folder of your choosing. If you do not have any of the Doom games , you can download the free shareware episode here . If you downloaded the shareware episode, you should now have a file called doom95.zip .
29 Ιουν 2014 · I'm trying to install DOOM (the shareware version) on my old Compaq running Windows 3.11. I've got the files . deice.exe; dooms_19.1; dooms_19.2; dooms_19.dat; install.bat; all downloaded and I have a USB floppy drive. However, I'm having trouble installing it, and I think it has something to do with which files I'm loading onto what disk.
30 Απρ 2022 · It's not ZDL, but GZDoom that blocks mods from loading when you use the shareware wad. 1. Award. I bought both DOOMs on steam and got the WADs from, using GZDoom and trying ZDL for the first time. For some reason it can't launch any other IWAD….
