We have started hitting usage limits for some maps providers. If you find the exports not working, please consider donating so that we can upgrade our accounts. Tip: You can copy and paste a latititude/longitude string anywhere on this page to input it straight into the respective inputs.
You can modify settings in info panel for your height map so it fits your needs.
I've downloaded quite a few maps that react badly to water(I.e lakes/rivers) when added I'll try this later and let you how it goes but of the bat your height maps look sick AF.
Tangram Heightmapper. This is an elevation data browser, which "auto-exposes" the display so that the highest and lowest visible elevations are white and black. The result is a grayscale heightmap, suitable for use as a displacement map in 3D applications.
Height Maps for video games, animations or 3D environments. The heightmaps available from this page, are provided for free under a CCO 1.0 Universal creative commons license. You may need to scale the height of the terrain to get the best effect.
Here's a collection of 50 .PNG Heightmap Files I made for Unreal Engine. These heightmaps were created and rendered using the ANT Landscape plugin in Blender, then edited with GIMP. I made a Tutorial on how to create your own heightmaps. License is CC0, free for personal and commercial use. Just don't try to sell them as is, please.
