You need to register if you are 16 and older and are: Fishing for migratory fish of the sea within tidal waters of the Hudson River and its tributaries, or waters of Delaware River or Mohawk River. Fishing for saltwater fish species in the marine and coastal district, see map below.
Anglers with a valid license/registration from another state, or a New Jersey freshwater license, are still required to register (for free) with the NJSRRP. For more information on the NJSRRP or to register for 2013, please visit www.saltwaterregistry.nj.gov .
