5 Ιουλ 2023 · As of July 5, 2023, nurse aides and applicants for nurse aide certification will apply via Texas Unified License Information Portal (TULIP), a web-based licensure system designed specifically for licensed long-term care providers and licensees. TULIP will allow Nurse Aides to complete all certification and application functions online.
3 Μαΐ 2024 · As of March 17, 2024, all NATCEPs in Texas must accept certificates issued by this new online program. After completing the free online course, participants can sign up with a traditional NATCEP to fulfill the remaining 40 hours of required hands-on training in a nursing facility setting.
These courses are designed to offer a computer-based training (CBT) to satisfy the 24-hour in-service education requirement, which is part of the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) renewal process (TAC; Title 26; Part 1; Chapter 556; Rule §556.9).
