25 Ιουλ 2017 · eAthena, short for English Athena, is a cross-platform, open-source game server software for the popular MMORPG Ragnarok Online. It is an emulation of the Aegis software created by Gravity Co., Ltd. that powers the official Ragnarok Online servers, and is used to run private servers.
I am documenting my attempts to provision a private server using the free and open source rAthena servers and hexed clients. The game remains nostalgic in spite of its age; and it sounds as though the kRO client is no-longer available through normal channels. These instructions are tailored to work with my debian jessie installation.
