The France national football team (French: Équipe de France de football) represents France in men's international football. It is controlled by the French Football Federation (FFF; Fédération française de football), the governing body for football in France. It is a member of UEFA in Europe and FIFA in global competitions.

The French National Football Team have their origin in the Football Team of Union des Sociétés Françaises des Sports Athlétiques, USFSA (Union of French Athletic Sports Societies). It was one of the founding sports entities of Fédération Internationale de Football Asociation in 1904.
Before using the now globally acceptable name of Ligue 1, the French top flight was named the Championnat de France D1 (French Championship Division One). Division Two was named similarly, also with a similar logo.
