5.1.4: Access for DNA Class. For this exercise, you are going to create 2 instance variables and the structure of the constructor for the DNA class. DNA objects contain two strings, a rsid and a genotype. Create the instance variables with the appropriate privacy settings.
In this lesson, students will explore and learn the anatomy of classes. They will take a deeper dive into what the access specifier does, and how it can be used within programs to make data public or private.
We will use Python to implement key algorithms and data structures and to analyze real genomes and DNA sequencing datasets. This module we begin our exploration of algorithms for analyzing DNA sequencing data. We'll discuss DNA sequencing technology, its past and present, and how it works.
Page 1 of 3 DNA Paper Model Activity Level: Grade 6-8 Students will be able to: 1. Identify the component molecules of DNA. 2. Construct a model of the DNA double-helix. 3. Identify which bases are found in pairs in the DNA double-helix. 4. Predict the appearance of a complimentary strand of DNA when given half of a double-helix molecule.
