23 Ιουλ 2024 · ONCA says members vote for directors who sit on the board. Members do not elect directors to specific board positions unless your articles or bylaws allow them to. Members vote on officer positions such as president, secretary, or treasurer, only if your bylaws allow it.
Unlike the transition process for Federal corporations in 2011 when the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act (the “CNCA”) came into force, an Ontario non-profit that was governed by Part III of the OCA will not be dissolved if it fails to make changes under ONCA.
