12 Μαΐ 2023 · Fusible interfacing is a material used in sewing, quilting, and craft projects. It has a heat-activated adhesive on one side that bonds to the fabric when ironed. Fusible interfacing can have different structures and thicknesses to work well with different fabrics.
Steam-A-Seam 2 and Lite Steam-A-Seam 2 are heat activated pressure sensitive fusible webs. This makes the web sticky and repositionable for easy placement of your appliqué giving you the ability to play with your design before permanently ironing.

Fusible interfacing is interfacing which has tiny glue dots on the back which when melted by the heat of the iron bond the interfacing and fabric together. There are many types of interfacing available (see our beginner’s guide here ) but this article will focus on fusible interfacing.
Fusible Interfacings and Stabilisers are also called Iron On Interfacings and have a layer or coating of glue on one or possibly both sides which is usually activated by ironing. This then bonds the interfacing to another layer or fabric and will feel a bit rougher or have a slight sheen to distinguish it from the non fusible side.
