21 Μαΐ 2022 · According to Axel urbankes book about the Doras in III./JG 54 Dortenmann was Staffelkapitän from 11./JG 54 which had yellow numbers, when changing to 14./JG 26 in February it changed to black numbers.

Many are aircraft that are familiar to Dora enthusiasts, though with new information and images that lead to some surprising colour interpretations. These interpretations, as discussed in the text, are illustrated with colour and b/w plan and scrap views, and outstanding full-page artist profiles.

A 475 page hardbound book which follows the production of the Dora, this book documents the development of the camouflage by the different manufacturers and the production batches.
Part I explains the common rules used for camouflaging and marking of the type, and describes in great detail the various colour patterns applied to the different Focke-Wulf built Fw 190D-9 and D-11 production batches.
