The employer may apply for renewal after the criminal record check or FBI background check has been completed. Criminal record checks are subject to the following: 1. A criminal record check shall be required for renewal of all certificates held by educators employed in a Georgia LUA including state chartered special schools and commission
Educators can monitor the status of an application, view/print their certificate and correspondence, access the upgrade advisor, and much more from their MyPSC account.
If you are not employed in a Georgia school system, you can submit a paper application for renewal 6 months before the license expiration date. You have to include official transcripts showing completion of the continuing education conditions above, as well as any necessary fees.
