Portal is a singleplayer first-person puzzle game made by Valve back in 2007. You go through several test chambers solving puzzles, usually trying to find a way to get a cube on to a switch so that you can open a door to the next area. It’s a really short game, but quite the experience.

You find a computer interface and start piecing together the story. An AI feeds you bits of the last 100 years to catch you up and tell you what happened. I haven't been able to get very far in it.
