We present the design and analysis of a multi-level game-theoretic model of hierarchical policy-making, inspired by policy responses to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This review is comple-mented by a case that illustrates the use of game theory to evaluate implementation of coastal policy in the Netherlands. Based on the review and case experiences, the article ends with a discussion and conclusions on the usefulness of game theory to evaluators.
This book provides a critical, selective review of concepts from game theory and their applications in public policy, and further suggests some modifications for some of the models (chiefly in cooperative game theory) to improve their applicability to economics and public policy.
