21 Σεπ 2014 · Apart from crappy peripherals (e.g. saddle screws), there is nothing wrong with edge zero ii. I think it feels nice. Much nicer than OFR. OFR is solid as a tank but so rough. Edge zero ii is more refined and sweet to the player.
I have the exact same guitar, based on my own experience the edge zero 2 is a good bridge. It came out after the edge zero (used on jcustom) and imo (not a popular one so I expect to be downvoted) is better than the edge zero in the sense that the range of tuning adjustment on the edge zero 2 was increased so it’s more usable.
In terms of performance and tuning stability, a Floyd Rose Special is on-par with an Original Floyd Rose, given that it is set up well and properly maintained. The same can be said about the Edge Zero II. It's a question of materials and longevity more than anything.
Edge Zero 2 is comparable with a Floyd Rose Special, it's definitely not a "bad" bridge but there are better bridges out there. FR Special is easier to upgrade, individual upgrade parts are available for it and it can also be swapped out for several high end bridges with no modification.
The Edge Zero II is a less expensive version of the Edge Zero, on which the design is based. The Edge Zero II is used in mid-tier guitar models, replacing the Edge III as the most common double locking tremolo offered on guitars produced outside of Japan.
25 Απρ 2013 · The edge zero essentially got rid of non-essential funtionallity to boost build quality. In the end, there are the lower end bridges such as the edge zero 2 which sport thinner baseplates...
15 Φεβ 2012 · #1. What tremelo system do you prefer? I got myself a high end Ibanez (RGT320Z) with the Edge Zero Bridge with ZPS3 spring system. This tremolo system is well thought out. It has very good tuning stability due to a stop bar with additional springs. The intonation process is much easier too, because you can use a special screw that locks the sadle.
