17 Νοε 2008 · I spoke with Garmin about the differences between my 260 and the 255. At first the customer service rep was confused. He then said after checking with someone that Garmin has incorporated some of the new features of the 255 into the 260.
In addition to the different displays, 265 also has a Training Readiness metric which is not available on 255. I have 255 and I like it better than the 265 because idrc about touchscreen, coming from an Apple Watch user, it does everything I need. Personally, 255 would be my choice.

The Garmin Forerunner 255 is a running watch that does everything that 99.9% of runners will need or want. It’s packed with features for training or racing and shows run data from any sensor you want, whether it’s a graphic or a simple number.
I suspect anything that the FR265 comes out with is likley to be ported to the FR255 at some point, so the most likely difference really comes down to screen and battery life. AMOLED screens really pop and HR, Stress graphs etc are so much easier to see as the colours just stand out so much more.
