In addition to the different displays, 265 also has a Training Readiness metric which is not available on 255. I have 255 and I like it better than the 265 because idrc about touchscreen, coming from an Apple Watch user, it does everything I need. Personally, 255 would be my choice.

28 Οκτ 2008 · I am looking to upgrade my current GPS, and I have narrowed my choice to either the Nuvi260 or 255. I have read all of the reviews and forums. This forum’s members were especially helpful with suggestions and answers to questions.
17 Νοε 2008 · I spoke with Garmin about the differences between my 260 and the 255. At first the customer service rep was confused. He then said after checking with someone that Garmin has incorporated some of the new features of the 255 into the 260.
I feel like Garmin is slowly going towards higher prices in general, with the 255 starting at 300 Euro and the 265 likely priced 450 Euro. I'd go for the 255, personally, because MIP displays are comfortable for outdoor work and I dislike that with OLED, you either don't get always on or always on and a bad battery life.
2424 posts. 301 upvotes. Ottawa. I was in NYC last week too and was pondering whether to pick up the 255W or not. (I didn't, FYI). According to Garmin's comparison chart between the 255W and the 260W, the 255W is newer with more features.
