It ultimately came down to the fact that there was not enough space on my Nuvi to accept the entire update, but that was completely unclear based on the error message Garmin Express was showing. - I finally found a solution by downloading an old Garmin Express version 3.2.27 here ->.

If you do not have the Garmin Express application installed on your computer, go to garmin.com/express and follow the on-screen instructions to install it ( Installing Garmin Express ) .
Ever since I bought my Laptop (2021) and installed Garmin Express, when an update becomes available, it is never able to update successfully and always fails. I always get this message: "Install Failed. Garmin Express could not be installed in this computer. Try installing again.".
The issue is with downloading and installing the maps using Garmin Express software. There are a lot of problems with Garmin Express 4.0.8.0, even on windows. Go back to a older Express version, and try back. This is the way to succes.
