10 Αυγ 2024 · Gas-Powered Trainers: Gas-powered trainers offer a more traditional RC flying experience and can often fly longer on a single tank of fuel compared to electric models. However, they require more maintenance and can be more challenging to operate.
The “G” stands for “Gasoline” as the Mentor is designed to use a 26cc class gasoline-fueled engine. The larger powerplant enables the Mentor-G to be larger and easier to see and fly than are most Basic Trainers. This highly prefab ARF spans 83 inches with 1,187 sq. in. of wing area.

22 Μαρ 2022 · It used to be if you wanted a gas or nitro plane you had to build it but now-a-days there are many that you don't have to build, in fact I have found it a lot easier and more cost effective to get an ARF. Many of the scale planes are very detailed. I will list two that I am flying now.
The Thunder Tiger Trainer OBL 40 is an ARF aircraft that allows substitution of some of the components, such as the motor or engine, the ESC, the Receiver and the Battery.
18 Σεπ 2005 · Good information on these planes. The Sig Kadet series is all but bullet proof as a trainer and just fun plane. I have a new LT-40 ARF to build over the winter and and a Senior from a kit under construction.
