EMT/Paramedic Refresher. EMT 200 is a 40-hour refresher that meets current National Registry NCCP requirements and all state of Arizona re-certification requirements. This course includes AHA CPR re-certification.

The EMT program will take students with minimal to zero medical knowledge and in 20 weeks have them trained and prepared to assist people in their most critical time of need. EMTs are trained to handle events such as heart attacks, strokes, internal bleeding, diabetic problems, and trauma patients.

Successful completion of Maricopa Community Colleges’ 16-week long entry-level emergency response training program qualifies you for state EMT-B certification as sanctioned by the Arizona Department of Health Services.
The EMT degree and certificate courses teach basic patient assessment, treatment of medically or traumatically compromised patients, special hazards, and medical operations. We also offer basic CPR courses for the general public, and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and renewal CPR certification for health care professionals.
