Timolol maleate ophthalmic gel forming solution is indicated in the treatment of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma. CONTRAINDICATIONS.
1 Δεκ 2022 · The concentrations of brimonidine and timolol in the vitreous humor and aqueous humor were significantly positively correlated (P < 0.0001, R 2 = 0.97; and P < 0.0001, R 2 = 0.96, respectively). These data suggest that the penetration of brimonidine into ocular tissues is similar to that of timolol.
Recommended therapy is one drop 0.25% solution in the affected eye twice a day. If clinical response is not adequate, dosage may be changed to one drop 0.5% solution in each affected eye twice a day. If needed, Timolol may be used with other agent(s) for lowering intra-ocular pressure.
