On your visit you will explore over 25,000 sq ft of exhibition spaces that include audio and video displays, dioramas, and nearly 850 artifacts that help interpret the story of the Civil War. Timing Plan on spending anywhere from 2 to 4 hours at the museum.
This is a very large, newer museum with plenty of event space, parking, and a great view of the surrounding area. It's quite impressive. Most people will want to allow 3 to 4 hours to see everything. The museum is fully accessible, and prices are fair. It is open daily.
Hours of operation are: Mon – Sat 10:00 am -5:00 pm; Sun – 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm Christmas Eve, we close at 2:00 pm. Closed – New Year’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, & Christmas.
