General revelation refers to the general truths that can be known about God through nature. Special revelation refers to the more specific truths that can be known about God through the supernatural.

Although general revelation is a sufficient basis for judgment, it in itself does not reveal the Gospel. Special revelation is the appearance or manifestation of specific communication, especially involving God’s redemptive will.
General revelation comes to us through the natural world (what is called natural revelation) and through our own nature. For we ourselves are revelation, the image of God according to Genesis 1:26–27. On the other hand, special revelation is revelation God gives to selected messengers, charging them to bring the message to others.

It doesn't err, it doesn't make any mistakes. You follow it, and you don't make any mistakes when God speaks that way.
