Geography of disability [1] is a multi-disciplinary branch of human geography which studies the experiences of people with disabilities and the extent to which disability in a population can be influenced by its geographical location.
Geographies of disability investigate the relationships between the geographical environment and complex and fluid interactions with the nature of an individual’s impairment. The role of society is explored as a mechanism for including or marginalizing people with disabilities.

Geographies of disability explore how experi-ences of disability are shaped and co-produced by and through interactions between people with mind/body differences and socio-spatial factors. Disability is eminently spatial. How space is organized, socially, physically, and culturally, has huge impacts on people living with “disabilities.”
