Pursuant to Part A, Section 11 of the Rules Governing Admission to the Practice of Law, applications for renewals of certification (also known as “Recertifications”) must be filed at least three months before the expiration date of the applicant’s current Certification of Fitness.
You need to submit two renewal applications: one for your RN license and another for your APRN authorization. Multistate License: If you hold a multistate license in any state other than Georgia and Georgia is not your PSOR, Primary State of Residency, you DO NOT NEED to renew your Georgia license.
The Regular Bar Exam Application filing period will open on March 1 and close at 4 pm on June 1, 2025. The deadline to request ADA or administrative accommodations is at 4 pm on May 1, 2025. The Final Bar Exam Application filing period (including a $500 late fee) will open on June 1 and close at 4 pm on June 15, 2025.
Nursing licenses in Georgia must be renewed every two years, with the renewal period ending on January 31st. To avoid any lapse in licensure, RNs are encouraged to complete their CE hours and initiate the renewal process well before the deadline.
