Death records for 1919-1927 are indexed and available online in the Georgia Death Certificates. Death records for 1919-1943 are also indexed and available through FamilySearch.org . The originals through 1943 are also available at the Georgia Archives.
29 Ιουλ 2024 · The index & images can be searched and viewed at www.GeorgiaArchives.org (Virtual Vault link) or labs.familysearch.org. The names of Georgia’s deceased from 1919 to 1927 are now very much alive, searchable, and viewable online—and for free.
Some vital records for fourteen Georgia counties for 1875 have been microfilmed and are available at the Georgia Department of Archives and History (see Archives, Libraries, and Societies). In 1919 Georgia law required the registration of all births and deaths in the state.
Georgia Death Certificates from 1919 through 1927. The collection also includes a number of certificates from 1914-1918, with the bulk dating from 1917 and 1918. The Georgia Archives would like to thank the Genealogical Society of Utah for their partnership in scanning and indexing these records.
