Death records for 1919-1927 are indexed and available online in the Georgia Death Certificates. Death records for 1919-1943 are also indexed and available through FamilySearch.org. The originals through 1943 are also available at the Georgia Archives.
Georgia Death Certificates from 1919 through 1927. The collection also includes a number of certificates from 1914-1918, with the bulk dating from 1917 and 1918.
Deaths by their nature are easily found records. While public notices are published in local newspapers, you may also extract death records online from the SSDI, obituaries, bible, church and cemetery transcriptions. We suggest using each of the following resources to further your death record research:

If the image was not included in the index entry above, you can order a copy of the death record for a fee from the following locations:

29 Ιουλ 2024 · The index & images can be searched and viewed at www.GeorgiaArchives.org (Virtual Vault link) or labs.familysearch.org. The names of Georgia’s deceased from 1919 to 1927 are now very much alive, searchable, and viewable online—and for free.
4 Σεπ 2024 · Search for Vital Records in the FamilySearch Catalog by using a Place Search and then choosing Vital Records. Search for Georgia to locate records filed by the State and then search the name of the county to locate records kept by the county.
