Students in grades 5 and 8 take the EOG assessment in science, and students in grade 8 take the EOG assessment in social studies. High school or middle school students enrolled in courses designated by the State Board of Education take End-of-Course (EOC) assessments.
Numeric Grading Scale. Grades 9-12. Final Grades are reported numerically based on the following scale: A = 90-100+ B = 80-89; C = 70-79; F = 0-69; Grades at or above seventy percent (70%) are considered passing. Use summative assessments and measures of student growth and achievement exclusively to determine a student’s course grade. Use MYP assessment criteria in MYP classes and clear assessment criteria in DP and non-IB classes. Students receive progress reports every nine weeks.
