The emotional reactions of teenage girls at Elvis’s concerts were unlike anything seen before. Many fans described feeling an overwhelming sense of joy and excitement. Some would cry tears of happiness just at the sight of Elvis.
While the world knew about his relationship with 14-year-old Priscilla Beaulieu, who went on to become his wife, a new 60 Minutes investigation reveals Priscilla wasn't the only underage female he pursued. From his early 20s onwards, Presley conducted hidden liaisons with baby-faced teenagers.
“Oh, Elvis, I’m going to die!” she screamed. Other girls rose, shouted and danced as the singer’s voice went into full-throated cry. “It was utterly fantastic,” said a writer reporting the show in The Ft. Worth Star-Telegram, one of the city’s newspapers, the next day.
