A Geographic Information System (GIS) is a system of computer software, hardware and data, personnel that make it possible to enter, manipulate, analyze, and present data, and the information that is tied to a location on the earth's surface.
The technology of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), which has evolved since late 1980’s, provides an efficient and computer-driven method of managing, manipulating, analyzing, and displaying a huge volume of multilayered geographic information.
