9 Αυγ 2018 · The following steps will show how to recover MikroTik user password using online password recovery tool. Go to MikroTik Password Recovery Online Tool [mikrotikpasswordrecovery.net]. Upload your unencrypted backup file using Choose File button. Put provided captcha for security purpose.
9 Μαρ 2020 · These steps will help you recover a forgotten password from an unencrypted RouterOS backup file. To complete these step we will use a python tool called RouterOS-Backup-Tools written by Lorenzo Santina (BigNerd95).
The crypted passwords for MikroTik users are in /mnt/nova/store/user.dat (in newer RouterOS versions in: /mnt/rw/store/user.dat) file. It's need to send that file to computer, and then decrypt the password. I used a simple method to do that: netcat tool. All you need to do is send that file from MikroTik and receive on computer.
9 Αυγ 2018 · MikroTik Wiki and Forum say that there is no way to recover MikroTik user password without losing MikroTik configuration. But if you have an unencrypted configuration file backup taken before, you will be able to recover your user password using MikroTik password recovery tools.
I want to try and retrieve admin password from a hap ac2 with 6.45 stable from a unencrypted backup file. I tried https://github.com/BigNerd95/RouterOS-Backup-Tools but it doesn't output the user-password combination, seems to not work with version 6.45 or I'm doing something wrong.
24 Ιουλ 2011 · How can I recover password from my backup file (taken from ROS 6.28). Most of the sites which can show password from backup file donot work any more with these new backup files.
