dermosoft® GMCY MB consists of the 100% plant derived, single ingredient Glyceryl Caprylate. This multifunctional wetting agent provides moisturizing properties and is suitable for many cosmetic applications. It has a co-emulsifying effect in emulsions, solubilisates and pigment dispersions.
Recommended for W/O or O/W emulsion systems. Effective in emulsions, creams and lotions in addition to surfactant-based products such as shower gels, facial cleansers and shampoos. Free of parabens, formaldehyde donors, MIT, phenoxyethanol, and other traditional preservatives.
Possible uses of GMCY in cosmetics. The raw material is particularly suitable for stabilising surfactants and O/W emulsions. Due to its high effectiveness against yeasts and bacteria, glyceryl caprylate is also frequently used as a supporting ingredient in anti-acne products.
